Yellapur: As many as 11 candidates have filed 20 nomination papers for the by-elections being held at Yellapur Assembly Constituency.

On Monday, the last day to file papers, four candidates filed their nominations. This included Shivaram Hebbar as BJP candidate, Chaitra Gowda of Sirsi as JD(S) candidate and Laxman Bansode of Mundgod and Manjunath Shankrappa More as Independents.

Bhimanna Naik of Congress who has already filed his papers filed another two sets of nomination papers on Monday.
