Siddapur: In a road accident between a bus and the bike, the woman was killed instantly on the spot, while bike rider sustained severe injuries that happened on the morning of 3rd August, Thursday here at Nilkund in Siddapur taluk.

The deceased woman is identified as Karuna Naik.

Sources informed that the accident happened when the speedily plying bus approaching from the opposite direction had an head-on collision with the bike, resulting in the instant death of the woman, who was riding pillion and grievously injuring the bike rider.

 A case has been registered in Siddapur police station and investigations are on.
