Ankola: One woman travelling in a car died on the spot after her car collided head-on with a lorry near Agsuru in Ankola taluk on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Nagaveni Nayak (60) of Belekeri. Her husband Vithoba Nayak was also injured in the accident.

The car was on its way to Belekeri from Dandeli and the truck was moving towards Yellapur from Ankola when the accident took place.

PSI A Y Kamble visited the crime spot and registered a case.
