Bhatkal: Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management, Bhatkal in association with Physical and Sports Department and Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi organized Intercollegiate Single Zone 10km Cross Country Race Championship in which witness an excellent show of strength by Young athletes came up with stellar performance to win medals in Men and women categories on 27th February.

Nagaraj Shiddahappa of SEA College of Engineering, Bengaluru got first place in men cross country race. Jyothi of Nitte Mahalinga Adyanthaya Memorial Institute of Technology (NMAMIT), Nitte, Karkala got first place in women category.  

Nitte Mahalinga Adyanthaya Memorial Institute of Technology (NMAMIT),Nitte, Karkala with 60 points became overall champions.
 In men team category Alva's Institute of Engineering and Technology, Moodabidri with 27 points placed top position, while Nitte Mahalinga Adyanthaya Memorial Institute of Technology (NMAMIT),Nitte, Karkala secured Runner-up with 38 points.

In the women team category, Nitte Mahalinga Adyanthaya Memorial Institute of Technology (NMAMIT),Nitte, Karkala with 22 points emerged topper and Alva's Institute of Engineering and Technology, Moodabidri secured runner-up with 41 points. In men individuals,  Nagaraj Shiddhappa of SEA College of Engineering, Bengaluru stood first place, while Sujan Shekar of Alvas college of Engineering, Moodabidri secured second place and Mohammed Sahil Anniegeri of Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT), Bengaluru got third place.

In Women individuals,Jyothi of Nitte Mahalinga Adyanthaya Memorial Institute of Technology, Nitte secured first place, while Pranali P Jadav, S.G.Balekundri Institute of Technology (SGBIT), Belagavi secured second place and Sushma of Sahyadri College of Engineering, Mangaluru secured third position. 

Earlier In the morning the Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen General Secretary Ismail Siddique flag off the events. Around 150 students from various colleges from the state participate in the events.

At the prize distribution ceremony, Bhatkal DySP Valentine D’souza honours all the winners with medals and certificates.

Additional Secretary Ishaque Shabandri, AITM college board Secretary Abubaker Ali Kasimiji, Principal Dr. Mustaque Bhavikatte, Vice Principal Prof. H. M. Phalachandra,  Physical Director Altaf Sab and many others were present.
