Udupi:  Udupi Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesha who has taken serious cognizance of the violation of the Covid guidelines like wearing masks, has said those found without masks will be subjected to compulsorily Covid tests.

Participating in an official meeting on Saturday , the DC expressed concern over the rising cases of Covid infections in the district. He said it is a matter of concern that rules of wearing mask and maintaining social distancing were violated.

Violators of the rule will be taken to the nearest Covid test centres to get tested and those who resist this measure will face criminal action, the DC warned.
