Dandeli: Associate professor of Kannada serving in Government First Grade College in Dandeli and writer Vinaya Okkunda has bagged the Kittur Rani Channamma Award for the year 2018-19.

The award is given by the Department of Women & Child Welfare in recognition of her contribution towards the field of literature.

The college principal, staff and students appreciated Okkunda for making the college, her town and the district proud by bagging the award.
