Siddapur: The police department has an aim to provide various facilities to public by building good relationship with them, District Superintendent of Police Vinayak Patil said.
Speaking after inaugurating the citizens’ Meet on Advanced Beat System at Shankar Math here on Sunday, he said that, changes must take place in society in order to prevent road accidents.
In this regard, he also said that the vehicle riders must also strictly follow the traffic rules in order to avoid accidents.
Beat System:
There are 1,160 beats set up under advanced beat system in the district. The earlier beat system has 196 beats and each beat consists 40 members.
The beat system has got many appreciations and the distance between public and police is coming down, he added.
Speaking at an occasion, Gynaecologist K Shreedhar said that, to create good atmosphere in society the beat system has been set up
Harmonious life:
The public should co-operate with police to lead harmonious life, he added.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Nagesh Shetty and Senior Doctor M P Shetty also spoke.
