Karwar: Following the State government’s order, relaxation will be given in the lockdown norms imposed to prevent the spread of the COVID-19. The relaxation will come into effect from tomorrow, Monday.

In a virtual meeting press conference today, Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan said, business activities would be allowed from tomorrow Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the district. 

No changes in micro containment zones as COVID-19 cases are active.

The production units can function with 50% staff from Monday between 8 AM and 2 PM. Garment units can function with 30% staff. Outlets selling cement, iron and other products are allowed to function, in addition to the stalls selling essential commodities.

However, marriages have been prohibited till June 21.

"Night curfew from 7 PM to 5 AM will be in place, while weekend curfew will be from Friday 7 PM to Monday 5 AM", he said. If anyone found violating the guidelines, strict action will be taken, DC warned.
