Karwar: Deputy Commissioner K Harishkumar has stated that Uttara Kannada has bagged the first place in verifying the voters’ list in the State.

In a press release issued here on Saturday, the deputy commissioner said, adding names to the voters’ list, correction of names and addresses, and other issues related to the voter identity card is being held under the revision of voters’ list programme.

The campaign will be concluded on October 15, he said and added that there are 11.54 voters in the district and out of them, verification of 3.08 lakh voter cards was completed till October 11.

He appealed the people to co-ordinate with the department concerned, which aims for the preparation of a new list of voters’ with zero errors.
