Bhatkal: The National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL) mobile van on Wednesday reached Bhatkal. The bus, which came to the town from Hubballi, aims at promoting Urdu language and carries number of Urdu books which are made available to the public at discounted price. Books on various subjects which are rare, including history, literature etc are available in this mobile library and can be purchased at discounted price.
The bus arrived in the morning at 10 AM at Nawayath colony in the town and received a rousing welcome by Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem Vice-President Ateequr Rahman Muniri, General Secretary Maulana Abdur Raqeeb MJ, Principal of Jamia Islamia Maulana Maqbool Ahmed Kobatte Nadvi and local public.
The bus has been parked near Tanzeem Juma Masjid, where the interested people can make use of this mobile library. It is informed that the bus will be available in Bhatkal till Thursday evening, following it will proceed to Kerala there after.
