Yellapur: At Dabguli near Sunjog on the border of Arbail ghat in Yellapur taluk, a landslide was witnessed due to heavy rain and unscientific road construction.

The road which runs between a stream and a hill was covered by mud in just a night’s time due to landslide.

More than 50 huge trees uprooted and fell on the road damaging it entirely leaving no trace of it.

The incident irked the villagers who said that scientific road work and pressure on the earth resulted in the land slide. A team of officials visited the place to review the situation. However, the contractor who built the road did not turn up making the people angry.
