Honnavar: Three dead bodies comprising of a woman and two young girls, suspected to be mother-daughters were recovered from Arabian sea here at Manki in Honnavar taluk on Monday morning. It is suspected that it is a suicide as it was observed that woman might have tied her two daughters and made to jump into the sea, following later she jumped in the sea to end the life.
Speaking to SahilOnline, Manki social worker Zakir Kattingeri informed that after noticing the bodies it can be understood that they have committed suicide on Sunday evening. The trio were seen tied up with each other. It is said that they might have jumped from a height rock which is near the beach to end their lives. Their bodies were found on the shores.
The bodies were observed by the passersby and informed it to the Manki police, who rushed to the spot and conducted the necessary investigation. On receiving the information, Bhatkal DySP Valentine Dsouza along with Honnavar CPI and team too rushed the spot. The bodies were then shifted to Manki government hospital.
The age of woman is suspected as 30 years and that of her daughters as 8 and 10 years.
The photos of deceased are posted along with this report. Manki police have appealed the readers that if they find identity with respect to the deceased, to report it to the Manki police station. The bodies have been kept at mortuary in Manki government hospital.
A case has been registered in Manki Police station and further investigations are underway.
