Udupi: A 70-Year old man's body was found floating in a water well, and it is said that he committed suicide after jumping into the well late at night. The incident occurred in Gudengadi village of Udyawar in Udupi district.

According to sources, the deceased has been identified as Ramanath Anchan alias Ramanna.

His body was found in the well belonging to his own house. The reason behind this extreme step is not yet known.

Kaup police are investigating into the matter.
