Udupi: Munaf, a youth identified to be from Yellur was assaulted by a gang of seven men on 26th Febraury, Sunday.
The incident reported while he was on his way towards Padubidri from Yellur. He says that he had to run from the attackers in order to save his life.
He told the police, that the gang of seven had intercepted him while he was on his way to Padubidri and he ran in order to save himself from his attackers.
After the incident, he developed severe chest pain and hence he admitted himself to Ajjarkad Government hospital the very next day of the incident. He did not contact police until he was admitted to hospital.
After the arrival of police at hospital, he told them about the incident and also traced three of the assaulters as Kiran, Sharan and Prasad.
The situation at Padubidri has been tense lately, as a truck driver was recently assaulted on 25th Febraury, Saturday. Following it, an attack was made by miscreants on Sunday on the Mudarangady mosque, during which the light at the gate of mosque was damaged.
