Bengaluru: Three people were injured in a multiple-vehicle collision on National Highway 648 in the outskirts of the city on Tuesday, police said.

The accident took place near Lakshmipura Gate in Devanahalli taluk of Bengaluru Rural district.

According to police, the driver of a lorry travelling from Doddaballapur towards Devanahalli allegedly lost control of the vehicle and first rammed into a tractor.

The impact pushed the lorry across the median, where it collided head-on with an oncoming Bolero vehicle.

CCTV footage of the incident showed the sequence of events, with several other motorists narrowly escaping the crash.

The drivers of the lorry, tractor and Bolero sustained injuries.

A case has been registered and further investigation is underway, they added.
