Udupi: Crackdown on drug users in Manipal, many students booked

Udupi: In a major drug abuse crackdown in Manipal by police, cases have been booked against a physiotherapy intern from Malaysia along with some students.

According to the sources, the crackdown begun from 13th September, Wednesday and the police have booked cases against five students. The exact number of students involved is still unknown.

The Superintendent of police (SP) Sanjeev Patil told the reporters that the drive will continue as many complaints are being received of students using drugs in town.
