Mangaluru: Two persons, including a woman, were killedin a head-on collision between a motorbike and a truck, near Annalike in Bantwal taluk, on Wednesday.

According to police, the victims have been identified as Surendra, 33, and his friend Jayalakshmi, 36, both residents of Kumeru. Surendra and Jayalakshmi, who was riding pillion, were coming from Annalike, when a truck moving towards Siddakatte hit the motorbike. The duo, who sustained severe injuries, were rushed to the hospital. Both succumbed to their injuries on the way to hospital. Police have arrested truck driver Nagappa Rona, 37.

A case has been registered at the Bantwal traffic police station.
