Karwar: Atleast one person killed instantly on the spot and three persons were seriously injured after the two bikes met with a horrible collision on Muduga NH-66 near here at Karwar. The incident reported on 29th June, Thursday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Sandeep Jaanu Durgekar (31) and the other three I injured were Sujeet Achari (21) of Karwar, Vinayak Naik (20) and Satish Harikanta.

Sources say the incident happened when both the speedily approaching bikes hit each other. The impact made one among them sustain grievous injuries over the head and led to succumb on the spot. While others were immediately taken to the hospital.

In this regard, a case has been filed at Karwar rural police station and investigations are on.
