Three vaccination centers setup in Bhatkal: AC Mamata Devi

Bhatkal: Taluka administration on Sunday addressed the press conference to inform about the necessary changes done in the COVID lockdown norms during the relaxation hours. 

Speaking to press persons, Bhatkal AC Mamata Devi said that observing the climatic condition in the taluk, the footwear shops along with outlets selling umbrellas and raincoats are allowed to function during the relaxation period of the lockdown. It shall be noted that Uttara Kannada district will observe four-day relaxation in lockdown from Monday to Thursday on 8 AM to 12 PM.

Further speaking, Assistant Commissioner said that over 5000 doses of COVID vaccines will arrive Bhatkal on Monday, and three centers have been allocated as vaccination centers in Bhatkal. The three centers include Rabita hall in Nawayath Colony, Nicchalmakki Venketraman hall in Asarkeri, and Nagayakshi hall in Mankuli. "NRIs who have to be vaccinated to fly abroad will be given vaccines at Rabita hall in Nawayath Colony", she added.
