Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada district police on Saturday suspended three personnel attached to Puttur rural police station for misconduct.

According to BM Laxmi Prasad, superintendent of police, Dakshina Kannada, a couple along with their minor daughter had come to Puttur rural police station to file a complaint of chain snatching.

Suspended police constables Dinesh, Praschita and Gayathri used to call the couple to the police station and harass them. During the investigation, it emerged that the complaint filed by the couple was genuine.

The three police personnel were suspended based on the report.
