Bhatkal: Another attempt to theft incident was reported here at a house ‘Al Amaan’ at Madeena Colony where the thieves had to return empty handed unable to find any valuables on 18th September, Monday.
The house belongs to Syed Ahmed Barmawar and it was locked for about a month as the occupants were in Dubai.
When Syed Ahmed’s wife returned home today during Monday morning she found out that the door lock was broken. Upon entering the house, she found out that all the cupboard doors were also broke open and everything was scattered here and there.
However, aware of the increasing instances of thefts in the town, the occupants had kept all their jewelry and valuables with their relatives before leaving for Dubai. Due to this, all their valuables were safe.
A case has been registered at Bhatkal town police station and investigations are under due.
