Teachers' Day: Bhatkal AC lauds efforts of teaching fraternity amid pandemic situation

Bhatkal: Assistant Commisoner of Bhatkal, Mr. M Bharath today greeted the teaching fraternity across Bhatkal taluq on the occasion of Teachers’ Day which is observed every year on the birth anniversary of country’s second President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who himself was an accomplished teacher and dedicated his whole life for the cause.

Speaking at the Teachers' day program held at Shanbag hall here, AC Bharath, lauded the efforts of teachers amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation. He said, the responsibilities of teachers have increased due to the online classes. Yet, teachers have come forward offering selfless service in shaping the future of children, which is commendable, he noted.

The program was organized by Taluka administration, Zilla Panchayat Uttara Kannada, Bhatkal Block Education Office and Teachers Association, Bhatkal.

In the function, teachers felicitated are as follows: Sridhar Achari of Government school, Bilalkhand; Seema Tabassum of Government Urdu school, Billakand; Shaila Ganapati Kumta , Government school, Belke; Lata Naik of Government school, Bunder; Laxman Kotadamakki of Government school, Tattihakkal; Chinnaveerappa hosamani Chitrakala of Government school, Mundalli and G V Yaji of Shivashati Parameshwari High School, Marukeri.

The programme was presided by Taluka Panchayat Standing Committee Chairman Vishnu Devadiga, Tahshildar S Ravichandra, Taluka Panchayat CEO Fayyaz Ahmed, Block Education Officer Devidas Moger, Bhatkal Urban Bank President Jubapu Imtiyaz and many others were present.
