Tanzeem, Bhatkal Qazi issues guidelines ahead of reopening Mosques for prayers

Bhatkal: Ahead of reopening of Mosques for prayers after two-and-a-half-month long lockdown to contain the spread of Coronavirus, the Qazis of Bhatkal along with the officials of Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem on Sunday issued guidelines that need to be followed by everyone entering Mosque for prayers in Bhatkal. The Mosques in Bhatkal shall reopen from 9th June 2020, Tuesday.

Following are the guidelines to be followed:

1. Thermal screening should be conducted and temperature of every person entering the Mosque should be checked.

2. Children below the age of 10 years, elderly citizens, and those with any kind of health issues should offer prayers from home and refrain from coming to Mosque.

3. Those in quarantine shouldn't come to the Mosque and should offer prayers from home until their quarantine period is over.

4. The worshippers should make Ablution (Wuzu) from their homes. Mosque committees should note that a sanitizers are arranged near the entrance door.

5. Social distancing should be maintained between worshippers (Musallis) offering prayers, and the Salah (Namaz) should be completed in a short period of time.

6. Prayer mats should be brought from homes, or else efforts should be made to offer Namaz on the floor with no carpets.

7. Wearing a face mask is mandatory.

8. Refrain from photography/videography in the Mosque premises.

9. Lastly, obey all the guidelines issued by the centre and the state government in this regard.
