Karwar: Students of Government Engineering College, under the banner of NSUI, took out a protest rally here, on 11th September, Monday, demanding shifting of the college to the new building constructed at Majalli, in the taluk.

Engineering college is being run at the polytechnic building, which lacks classrooms laboratory and library required.

More than 700 students are facing problems, and classes are being run in the hostel also, NSUI leader, Siddaharth Nayak said.

Though the new building is ready at Majalli, the college is not yet shifted, though the students have demanded it several times, he added.

After staging a protest in front of the deputy commissioner's office, students submitted a memorandum to DC S S Nakul.
