Bhatkal: Amid heavy rains that have already irked the locals for causing a loss and affecting the normal life, the stray dog's menace in the taluk has become another headache here.

The stray dogs are observed running into groups on the highways as well as in the residential areas in the town and in the rural areas. The dogs try to chase the pedestrians in search of food, while some rest on the roads causing trouble to the motorists. The students walking towards schools too have to face a fear like and scaring situation.

There is also waste dumping in some areas. The dogs obviously crowd these regions. As evening approaches, these dogs try to enter residential compounds and create nuisance spreading the things placed in the compounds.

The locals accuse taluka administration for failing to overcome this problem. Locals say that administration has shown negligence in this issue. It has just put a full stop to this issue with lip talks.
