Bhatkal: Karnataka University Inter-collegiate Single Zone Badminton Tournament begins here at Rotary Club indoor stadium, which was organized by Anjuman Arts, Science and Commerce college and PG Centre, Bhatkal here on Tuesday.

The tournament was inaugurated by cutting a ribbon to cour at Rotary Hall by  Dr. Khalid Khan.

Chief Guest, Dr. Khalid Khan, Director of Physical Education, Karnataka State law university, Hubballi explained how to make use of sports in the daily life. He said that sports helps in building co-ordination and to develop unity. "Student should practice sports at least half an hour per day in their daily life. But care should be taken that it won't harm education", he added.

Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Vice President Damudi Abdur Raheem Preside over the event.
