The victim Harshraj (16 yrs) haf just been honored at the school's annual day for his excellence performance in sports. On his way to home, he was surrounded by three friends near a railway track in Gandhinagar, just about 200 meters away from his school.

But by the time they reached the hospital, it was already too late to save him. His parents were in a complete shock finding their son dead on a hospital bed.

Vivekananda, vice principal of his school, said that he was an average student but a very dignified one. "He wanted to be a sportsman and was concentrating on volleyball” he added.

Vivekananda also stated that Harshraj was having poor attendance over past few months and the staff had already informed his parents about him missing the classes.

The police were quick and detained two of the three attackers within three hours of the murder. “Both of them have sustained some minor injuries during the attack and are currently being treated at the hospital”, said Ram.

The initial investigation suggests that the fight was over a girl. The two suspects are being questioned while the third accused is still at large. The three accused are said to be old students of the school.

According to the sources, one of them had continued his education in Government PU College of same campus and was a first-year student while the other two had quitted and joined another college a year ago.
