Bhatkal: Manoj Naik, a student of the Karnataka Public School, Ternamakki in Bhatkal in Uttara Kannada district has scored 612 out of 625 (97.90%) in the SSLC examinations. He also a stands topped in Uttara Kannada district.

A son of Irraya Naik, a tempo driver and Prema Irraya Naik, who is housewife, Manoj Irraya Naik, a Kannada medium student from an underprivileged family scored 122 in Kannada, 96 in English, 98 in Hindi, 97 in Science, 99 in Mathematics and 100 in Social Science.

“I am happy to score 612. I was confident I would get a good score. I did not expect to achieve above 90. I want to choose the Science stream in my PUC and then want to join as solider and want to serve my nation,” said Manoj.

“It would not have been possible without their support and blessings. My parents always motivated me. My teachers always cleared my doubts and my friends also helped me in scoring good marks", he added.
