Sullia: District In-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said that a special package for development of villages would be announced after a discussion with MLAs.
He was speaking during an interaction organised as part of village stay at Madappady village in Sullia taluk on Sunday. Poojary said a district-level meeting would be convened to discuss about yellow leaf disease affecting arecanut, increase in wild animals’ menace, giving licence for arms and other problems haunting farmers, on January 15.
Sullia MLA S Angara said, ‘’Madappady has 64 km of village roads. All the roads will be developed on a priority basis.”
He directed the gram panchayat officials to submit a detailed report on the beneficiaries of various welfare programmes in the village, within a week.
