Siddapur: Forest Department officials arrested Mahadev Beer Naik of Sadegudde of Kolsirsi while he was carrying sandalwood logs on his bike near Kunaji.

Another accused Vasudev Mahadev Naik went absconding. 15 kg sandalwood and bike were seized from the accused.

The operation was carried out under the guidance of DCF S G Hegde, ACF Abdul Aziz and RFO Kirankumar.
