Siddapur: Election squad seized clothes and gold in two separate raids in Siddapur taluk on Wednesday and Thursday.

On Thursday, the squad seized sarees, chudidaars and other clothes worth Rs 60,000 which was being carried unauthorisedly on a bike at Kavanchur check-post in Siddapur taluk. Ajitkumar of Uttar Pradesh was arrested.

On Wednesday night, the squad seized gold worth Rs 40,000 that was being carried by Manjunath Anvekar of Sirsi without any documents in Bengaluru-Sirsi bus, informed Deputy Tahsildar D R Bellimane.
