Karwar: A general store naming 'Naik general stores' was wrecked after an accidental fire raised up resulting in the burning of maximum goods available in the shop. The incident happened near St. Michael school here at Karwar on 18th September, Monday afternoon.

It has been suspected that the fire broke out at the shop due to short circuit. The estimated value of the loss is around fifty thousand rupees. A lot of equipments has been burnt, including clothes and furniture inside the shop.

As the information was alerted, fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and were successful in rubbing out the fire.
