His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has approved the improvement of Airport and Tripoli roads to the value of Dh1 billion, the Dubai Media Office tweeted today.

It quoted Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA, saying that the project is essential to keep pace with the ongoing upswing witnessed by Dubai as per the directives of Shaikh Mohammad.

The 12km road links Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road and Emirates Road, Al Tayer said.

“It includes four interchanges comprising a tunnel and three bridges.”
