Bhatkal: The second convoy of stranded people of Bhatkal and surrounding regions from Dubai, reached hometown safely via Mangaluru International airport in an Spicejet operated chartered flight hired by the Bhatkali businessman and chairman of Nuha General Trading, Dubai, Mr. Ateequr Rahman Muniri, in the wee hours of Wednesday.
In the second batch, the group was accommodated by 178 people including 6 infants that reached Bhatkal from Dubai.
All the passengers were bundled into five buses which were engaged by Bhatkali Jamaatul Muslimeen, Mangaluru, to take them to Bhatkal. The chartered flight booked by a Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem Vice President Ateequr Rahman Muniri departed from the Ras Al Khaimah International Airport on Tuesday at 8:30 PM and reached Mangaluru International Airport on Wednesday 1:15 AM.
As the buses plying Dubai returnees entered Bhatkal, they were taken to the allocated quarantine centres at a private hotel and Ali public school. The quarantine centres were well arranged by the Bhatkal's NGO Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem.
