Udupi: Julia Shetty, 46, who hails from Russia, filed a complaint against her husband Prabhakar Shetty, accusing him of dowry harassment. She filed a complaint on Saturday at the women’s police station in Udupi.

Prabhakar, a resident of Shivalli village, Udupi, married Julia on December 2, 1999 in Mumbai after they met at Iskcon, Mumbai. The couple lived briefly in the US and has twin boys.
The complaint states that Prabhakar Shetty started harassing her for dowry within a few days of the marriage. In 2010, they shifted to Manipal with their children and he allegedly continued the physical abuse.
