Karwar: Vice Admiral Viktor Sokolov of the Russian Northern Fleet along with four other officers and resident deputy defence attache visited Seabird Naval Base in Karwar on Tuesday. The visit was part of Indo-Russian Defence Cooperation Project 2019. 

They were welcomed by Flag Officer Commanding Karnataka Naval Area Rear Admiral Mahesh Singh. The team went through the second phase of the naval base, ship repair centre and other places.
