Mangaluru: Media adviser to the Chief Minister Dinesh Amin Mattu claimed here on Sunday that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) had in a recent meeting in Karkala discussed ways and means to “curtail” him.
Speaking at a seminar organised by the Narayana Guru Vichara Kammata at a college here, Mr. Mattu revealed that an intelligence official had informed him about it.
The meeting had been attended by a prominent RSS leader of the State.
Mr. Mattu said that he and other activists were facing the danger of being gunned down just like journalist Gauri Lankesh. “I do not fear death. But I am worrying about my uncompleted tasks,” he said.
He asked youngsters to follow the ideals of social reformer Narayana Guru who stood against Varnashrama, superstitious practices and oppression of backward class communities.
He asked senior Congress leader B. Janardhan Poojary to take the lead in spreading the message of Narayana Guru to every household.
