Manki: A dominant RSA Manki stamped their authority with a crushing 8-wicket win over Lion Sports Center of Bhatkal, in the final match of NSA Champions Trophy played at Kochapu ground, Manki on Sunday.
Winning the Toss, Lion opted to bat first setting up the inning score 88 runs with fall of all the wickets in 13.5 overs, while RSA Manki managed to bang the target score hitting 92 with fall of 2 wickets in 14 overs.
Sahil Sawda was declared Man of the match title for his excellent performance in bowling claiming 3 wickets in 3 overs by offering only 4 runs with 1 over being maiden.
Winning team was awarded a Trophy and a cash prize of 1,00,000 INR, while runners-up received a cash prize of 55,000 INR with the trophy.
Other awards declared at the closing ceremony included player of the tournament which was awarded to Ilyas Motia of team Madeena for scoring 239 runs and claiming 9 wickets, while the fair play award for discipline team of the tournament was bagged by team Shaheen Murdeshwar. The other awardees were Naman Tahira of team Madeena as best fielder, Best wicketkeeper was Numair Sawda from RSA Manki, More four boundaries hitter award was given to Alam Sawda (33 fours), More sixes hitter was Ikruma Motia (16 sixes) of team Lion. Salman Hasan Bapu of NSA Manki managed to clinch title of best discipline player. Chandrahas Janardhan Acharya of NSA Manki was awarded with fastest fifty title (50 runs of 20 balls).
