Sirsi: Election officers seized Rs 4.08 lakh unaccounted cash when it was being transported in a vehicle at Kanakapur check post in Banavasi hobli of Sirsi taluk.

The cash without relevant documents was found in the vehicle of Vinod Venkatesh Kamat of Sorab. During enquiry, it was found that he was the owner of a petrol pump in Banavasi. “The cash was seized as there were supporting documents,” officials said.
