Mundagod: A Revenue Inspector Jagadish Gadigeppa Chalawadi committed suicide by hanging himself at his house, in Pala village, in the taluk, on Wednesday.

He was serving at Banavasi, in Sirsi taluk. It is said he was upset after his demotion as village accountant at Kagal village from the PSI post. 

Jagadish's wife registered a complaint at Mundagod Police Station.
