Karwar: Deputy Commissioner K Harishkumar has issued an order temporarily restricting the movement of heavy vehicles weighing more than 10 tonnes on Bedti bridge on Sirsi-Yellapur route.

The bridge has become fragile due to rain and the restriction has been imposed keeping safety of people in mind. The Vehicles moving to Yellapur through Mundgod and those moving to Belagavi, Hubballi and Shivamogga sides through Yellapur have been asked to take the Kumta-Tadas State highway.
