Mangaluru: Rain accompanied by gusty wind lashed Malavanthige, Somathadka, Didupe, Ujire, Mittabagilu and Mundaje villages in Belthangady taluk.

In fact, Mundaje experienced hailstone along with rain. The sky had remained overcast throughout the day. Due to the rain, the farmers are worried a lot about the crops, especially drying of arecanuts.

Rain also lashed Hebri, Shivapura, Mudradi, Muniyalu, Ellare, Varange and surrounding areas in Hebri in Udupi district.
