Udupi: Rain continued to lash Udupi district and the flood situation continued in Baindoor.

River Sauparnika is in spate in the district and floodwater from the river has inundated Navunda, Maravante, Nada, Hadavu and Senapura villages.

Paddy fields have been submerged in floodwater.

In the last 24 hours, Nada in Kundapura received 28.4 cm rainfall, followed by 26.8 cm in Balkur and 26.4 cm in Bommarabetta.

Sea erosion has intensified at Padubidri, Padukere, Baindoor and Malpe.
