Mangaluru: The JD(S) state president and former chief minister of Karnataka, HD Kumaraswamy, on Sunday ridiculed DK district minister Ramanath Rai saying he could be a rubber-stamp minister.

Kumaraswamy said, Ramanath Rai is just a minister for namesake and unfortunately the names of such rubber- stamp ministers are considered while giving important portfolios like the home affairs. He targeted Rai for “not being able to handle the situation in his constituency being in-charge minister of the district.”

He also questioned the role of Kempaiah in the government saying, the CM should clarify his exact role in administration. It is not for the first time JD(S) has taken a potshots at Siddaramaiah for his ‘relationship’ with Kempaiah and failure in intelligence in handling DK situation has increased the barbs against CM’s advisor.

The JD(S) leader also targeted both the congress and BJP for creating rift between communities than concentrating on development.
