Bhatkal: Rabita Society Bhatkal has announced their prestigious annual event “Rabita Educational Award 2019”. The event will be held on 2nd August, Friday at Anjuman High School Ground at 4:30 PM, informed President of Rabita society, Mr Zahid Ruknuddin.
Speaking to press persons here at Rabita office on Tuesday, he said that the toppers among the Muslim run schools of Bhatkal will be honoured with Rabita gold medal award. He said, from past 22 years, Rabita society has emerged in honouring the top students among Bhatkal Muslim community from SSLC, PUC and degree college with the motive of encouraging the students to achieve good scores in their academic studies.
He further added that along with local students, the Bhatkali students pursuing education in gulf nations, who have topped in their academics, will also be honoured with the awards. Adding to it, any one student from Uttara Kannada district, who have topped in second PUC examinations will also be honoured on the occasion. "The best teacher award and the best school award will also be featured in the program. Altogether, this time, 22 awards will be given", he added.
The program will also feature the felicitation of Bhatkal DySP Valentine D'Souza, who was recently awarded the 'President Police Award'. The Cheif guest of the event will be Dr Zaheer Qazi, president of Anjuman e Islam, Mumbai.
Mr Zahid has appealed the people to attend the event in huge numbers to encourage the students and make it a grand success.
In the press meet, secretary of Rabita society Maulavi Tanveer Jushidi, Ateequr Rahman Muniri, Jailani Mohtisham, Abdur Rahman Siddiqui, Arif Khasimji and SM Afzal were present.
