Karwar: The District Working Journalists’ Union and Information & Public Relations Department will jointly host Press Day programme on July 1 at the Government High School in Seabird Displaced Colony at Chittakula in Karwar taluk.

MLA Roopali Naik will inaugurate the programme. Deputy Commissioner Harish Kumar, Chittakula Gram Panchayat President Raju Tandel and Information & Public Relations Department Assistant Director Himanthraju will be the chief guests. 

District Working Journalists’ Union President T B Harikanth will preside over. ‘Tagore Award’ will also be presented on the occasion.

As part of Press Day celebration, a dental and health check-up camp will be held in association with Sri Satyasai Seva Samiti at 8:30 am on July 1. People have been asked to avail the facilities.
