Kumta: Karnataka Journalists Association's​ Kumta taluk unit observed "Press Day" on 31st July, Monday here at Ramanath high school in Urkeri, Kumta. The event was inaugurated by MLA of Kumta-Honnavar constituency Sharada Mohan Shetty.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Sharada Mohan Shetty said, the media holds the responsibility of providing daily ongoing news and information​ to the public. Also, the people have benefited it by solving their problems by approaching to the respective officials.

On the occasion Karnataka Journalists Association state president B. Narayan, District unit president Kadtoka Manju, GL Hegde, Taluka unit president Ansar Shaikh among many others were present.
