Udupi: Preethi Gehlot took charge as the new chief executive officer (CEO) of Zilla Panchayat in Udupi on Saturday.

She was earlier serving as assistant commissioner at Kumta in Uttara Kannada district. The post of ZP CEO fell vacant after Sindhu B Rupesh was transferred to Dakshina Kannada as deputy commissioner.
