Bhatkal: The bike rider, who was a police constable in Honnavar police station, killed instantly on the spot after meeting a horrible road accident between his bike and the car. The incident happened on the late night of 17th August, Thursday, at around 10:00 pm here on Murdeshwar NH-66 of Bhatkal taluk. 

The deceased has been identified as Ramchandra Naik (30), a police constable who was serving in Honnavar police station.

Sources informed that the deceased Ramchandra was on his way to his home in Bhatkal taluk after finishing his duty. The accident occurred when the speedy Innova car approaching from Bhatkal to Honnavar had a crash with the Ramchandra's bike. The impact of collision made the bike rider Ramchandra sustain grievous injuries, as a result he breathed his last on the spot.

In this regard, a case has been registered in the Murdeshwar police station and further investigations are carried on.
