Kumta: JD(S) leader Madhu Bangarappa said people will teach the Congress a lesson in the upcoming state assembly elections.
Speaking to the reporters after a party convention in Kumta on Friday, he told that the JD(S) had defeated the Congress when M Veerappa Moily was the chief minister and the history will repeat this time. He said the JD(S) is a very strong party in Karnataka and the Congress is losing its ground. “Our party will come back to power as it is getting the support of people,” he claimed.
Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi has agreed to give party ticket to a few MLAs, who were suspended from the JD(S). This shows how strong their party is. “Those MLAs had violated the party wip and hence the JD(S) had suspended them,” he added. The JD(S) will win all the six assembly constituencies in Uttara Kannada district in the upcoming assembly elections, he further added.
